If materials are unavailable in the University's libraries, librarians can search which institute owns the materials using catalogues or bibliographic database. To use this service, fill out a "Request Form for Reference Service/Reference Result Sheet" and submit it to the reference counter in the General Library or the Library counter in each campus.
If you have any question on how to search for articles you want to refer to, consult a librarian. Librarians will provide concerning materials or helpful information.
If you identified that the University's laboratories or reference rooms owns the material you need, by using the Kansai University Library searching system (KOALA) or other methods, you can order the material to the library. Submit a "Request Card for Reading or Borrowing. " The material will be prepared within one to two days. Checking out of the book is not allowed.
Students, faculty staffs or other people belonging to the University can use the reference room of the Faculty of Sociology and the Institute of Human Rights Studies without permission. For details including opening hours of these rooms, check at the counter of the library on each campus.
Kansai University Library provides inter-library loan service in cooperation with outside libraries. Users can use materials unavailable in the University's libraries by ordering them from other library or institution. This service is available only for those belonging to the University.
This Library accept your request to purchase books for research or study. Fill out a "Request Form for Book Purchase," and submit it to the reference counter or the Library counter in each campus. Request is also acceptable via the online service. Upon consideration of budget and other conditions, the requested books can be purchased when possible. Before making the request, make sure the university's libraries do not own the books.
You can access databases of external institutions using PCs installed in the libraries or other facilities in the University and acquire information you need by searching from keywords. Details on the databases that you can use for search via the Internet is described in "Database Portal."

7. Activities considered as likely to impose adverse effect on those concerned with this University or third party
8. Other activities violating laws and regulations- If you violate these terms, Dean of your faculty may terminate your identification for a certain period or impose other penalty after conducting necessary investigation.
